The Nice Things is run by Dublin born Marion Bergin. Her second start-up, she has almost 20 years of experience working with fashion and lifestyle brands between the UK and Ireland. She started her career as a fashion buyer managing multi-million pound budgets buying for Dunnest Stores, House of Fraser and Kookai. During the time she honed not only her design skills but also her business acumen, sourcing and manufacturing product in the far east, India as well as the UK. At 30, she launched and snowball scaled the cult fashion brand Bitching and Junkfood with £5K and a bucket load of determination. During the course of 6 years she oversaw creative direction and business strategy and snowballed the growth exporting to over 50 countries worldwide in stores including Topshop, Nastygal, Urban Outfitters, ASOS as well as top concept stores and boutiques like Lane Crawford's On Peddar and Harvey Nichols. Fans of the brand included Rihanna, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Jessie J to name a few.
Heading up creative direction, e-commerce, styling and digital marketing she gained hands-on experience of how to successfully grow a branded business as well as a lot of the pitfalls to avoid. She now brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to business owners contributing not only on creative but many other areas too. With first-hand experience of scaling a small business to a global wholesale and e-commerce brand, she is a brand-building expert with an intuitive understanding of creative content and marketing strategy. With extensive experience in producing and directing photo and video shoots, The Nice Things draws from on an extensive pool wide team of exceptional freelance creatives to deliver simply outstanding work.
